TAA Scarf Competition

Deadline: April 1, 2010

The Tennessee Alpaca Association is sponsoring an alpaca scarf competition to promote the use of alpaca fiber produced right here in Tennessee. Knitters, crocheters, weavers and felters: Send us your very best. We invite all Tennessee fiber artists to join the fun. Win fame, win admiration, win cash! Two hundred dollars to the winner in each category.

Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair

October 23-25, 2009

Asheville, NC
Premier fiber art event features spinners, weavers and fiber artists working with many animal fibers, with a dominant alpaca presence in recent years. Folks come to SAFF from all over the eastern United States. Amazing things are done with fiber here!

TAA Annual Meeting

December 5, 2009
Crossville, TN
TAA members will meet at the Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, TN for the annual membership meeting, announcement of new board members, lots of discussion, and general "just plain fun" socializing. $12 per person for lunch. Dr Charles Hatcher, TN State Veterinarian, is our speaker. Silent Auction will be held to raise money for the UT Large Animal Hospital Building Fund.

Southern Select Alpaca Show

National Alpaca Farm Days

The Tennessee Alpaca Association will hold its own special Middle Tennessee event as part of the AOBA sanctioned National Alpaca Farm Days. This event will be held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, TN on Saturday, September 25th. Public is invited, free of charge. Come meet the alpacas!
